Condensate Pump

A condensate pump removes the water a cooling coil produces when there is no gravity drain available: a ceiling cassette, an indoor unit in a basement, a ducted system where the drain cannot be run to a floor waste.

The range covers five families for different duties. PC-24A and PC-40A handle 24 and 40 L/h with a 10 m discharge head and a 150 ml tank, sized for mini splits up to 8 and 15 kW. PC-12C and PC-36C are the compact versions with a 55 ml tank. PCT-100A is the tank type with a 1 L reservoir, 100 L/h and 1.2 m head, for applications with a long horizontal run. PC-80A provides 80 L/h with a 0.3 L tank, and PC-125A/125L are the high lift units at 125 L/h and 4 m head with a 1.8 L tank and 60 W motor.

Voltage is 100 to 230 V at 50/60 Hz, with the PCT-100A available in 230 V or 100-120 V versions. Power consumption runs from 3 W on the small units to 60 W on the largest, sound levels from 19 to 40 dB(A), and ambient rating 0 to 50 C.

Selection is by condensate flow - roughly 0.5 to 1 litre per hour per kW of cooling depending on humidity - then by the lift required and the tank volume. A pump with a small tank cycles frequently and is noisier; a large tank gives quieter operation but takes more space.

Installation points: keep the pump level, protect the suction with the supplied filter, and make sure the discharge line has a continuous fall or is pumped - a horizontal run that sags will hold water and restart the pump repeatedly. Check the overflow safety switch, where fitted, is actually wired into the control circuit.
